The Carmel Valley Recreation Council will meet on a SPECIAL day, Wednesday, July 19, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Carmel Valley Recreation Center (3777 Townsgate Drive.) Sorry about the late notice! The CV Rec Council Meeting Agenda is attached here, or see the CV Parks Page for additional information on parks in the community and their operation. The agenda includes a bunch of administrative items like Bylaws, new programs, printed brochure content, etc.
If you want to use a community park for a large group, reserve a space for a party, put up a party jump, etc., or if you want to run a commercial operation in a park (professional training, sports field use, etc.), you may need a permit. For the parks NORTH of the SR-56 freeway, call the CV Rec Center at 858-552-1616 (see the CV Brochure for more info.) For parks SOUTH of SR-56, call the Ocean Air Rec Center at 858-552-1687 (see the Ocean Air Brochure for more info.)
The City Council approved the One Paseo project at their recent meeting. That approval was for a very specific project. Going forward, it's reasonable for the community to watch that what was approved is actually what is built. Here's a link to the final One Paseo Documents from the City Council Meeting on June 27, 2016. This includes community plan updates, ordinances, project plans, and the FEIR.
Council President Sherri Lightner's office issued the following press release on Monday's One Paseo hearing:
The San Diego City Council will hold a hearing on the New One Paseo development project on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in Golden Hall. Due to the anticipated interest in the project, Golden Hall will open to the public at 12:00 p.m., and public comment on the project will be limited to two minutes per person. This project has been revised from the original One Paseo project that was heard by the Council in 2015.
The Carmel Valley Community Park Summer Program for 2016 is available online. The brochure has information on classes and activities available at the park (3777 Townsgate, 858-552-1616). Additionally, there is information on the Carmel Valley Recreation Council, facilities in local parks, class registration, rental of parks & facilities, and more.
The CV Rec Center Summer Camp Brochure is available online. In the brochure, you'll find a ton of information on camps, facilities, hours of operations, registration and more. If you need even more information, you can visit the CV Recreation Center page on the San Diego website. You can find updated links to brochures, hours, facilities, access, tennis, the skate park and the pool.
